We use woven polypropylene tubing as the main shuttering component for our rammed earth structures and buildings. When filled with earth and compacted with inter-layers of barbed wire this construction system, known as Superadobe, provides a robust and sustainable building method for residential, environmental and recreational projects.

We carry two widths in stock and can supply other sizes and grades upon request subject to minimum order requirements.

What size dome can I build with 1000m?

1000m of 360mm tube will give you enough to build: a) a 5m diameter, double-skin dome with 400mm high buttress / bench seating b) two 4m diameter, single skin domes with an arched, linking passage.

Is your bag UV stable?

No, our bag is Uncoated, Non-UV Stabilized. It has a long shelf life if stored in the dark and once exposed to the elements it has a half life of about 60 days full exposure to sunlight at UK latitudes. In practice this means that you need to get some additional covering over your construction within 7 months or so.
